On March 13th 2009, a symposium on the topic of “Architecture of the Threshold” took place at ETH Zurich. Experts from the areas of cultural science, philosophy, sociology and architectural history dealt with both the architectural and technical design of transitions as well as the social activities that take place on the threshold and thus characterise it.
Siedle encourages the examination of the subject of thresholds by providing financial support for the threshold atlas and the ETH symposium.
